The whole depth of a product

Fullstack engineer with seven years of commercial experience, currently leading development on two production systems. Next.js and React on the front, NestJS, Prisma and PostgreSQL behind it, Terraform, Ansible, Docker and GitLab CI underneath, including DNS, TLS, firewalls, monitoring and backups that have been restored from rather than merely written.

Twenty projects live and publicly linked; three carry their full infrastructure in code. Since 2026, also the appointed outsourced IT function for a DFSA-authorised insurance intermediary in the DIFC.

Four rooms, one person

  1. Dragon Farm

Head of Development · Frontend and DevOps

    2025 – present

    • Migrated production off AWS onto Hetzner in 7 minutes of downtime; the monthly bill fell from about $546 to roughly $140.
    • Rebuilt both ends: Next.js 16 client with six hand-written locales; NestJS 11 game server with a binary WebSocket protocol replacing a 27,378-line Python backend.
    • Observability and recovery contour: Prometheus, 29 alert rules, Loki, a cross-machine Telegram watchdog; a rehearsal brought the API up 17 minutes from zero.

  2. Investcare 2000 Ltd (UK)

Head of Development and Sales Executive

    2019 – present

    • Built and run investcare-vet.com end to end: Next.js 16, NestJS 11, admin CMS and the whole Terraform/Ansible contour behind Cloudflare.
    • Six locales with no i18n library; imported hand-provisioned live infrastructure into Terraform, driving the plan to zero changes and zero destroys.
  3. Mammoth Dev

    Frontend Developer

    2024 – 2025

    • Seven-plus client projects on React and Next.js; a cost-calculator quiz growing from 9 steps to 24, pricing deterministically and rendering the estimate to PDF in the browser.
    • Studio-site effects written by hand instead of an animation library; prefers-reduced-motion treated as a kill switch rather than a hint.
  4. R-Trade (Istanbul)

Web Developer to Head of Development

    Apr 2022 – Jan 2024

    • Joined as a developer, left leading a small team building sites and tooling for a foreign trade firm.
    • Rebuilt the main site line by line: 14 sections, 659 files, three production dependencies in total; assets went from 52 MB to 2.4 MB.

Advisory, on the record

  1. Outsourced IT Manager · DFSA-regulated insurance intermediary, DIFC

    2026 – present

    • Appointed outsourced IT function for a Category 4 firm; the role named in the firm’s board-level cyber risk policy, owning eight of the ten registers it requires.
    • Authored a rule-to-control-to-evidence matrix covering all 19 rules of DFSA GEN 5.5, GEN 5.3.21–5.3.27 and the DIFC Data Protection regime.
    • Raised unprompted, against my own commercial interest, that the engagement itself likely constitutes material outsourcing requiring regulator notification.
  2. Technical due diligence · oil and gas B2B marketplace

    2026

    • Identified the product as a purchased template; sized the backlog at 6–12 months for a team of 3–5 against the client’s stated 10–20 days; recommended declining both profit-share variants.

I build and document the technical controls so the firm’s compliance officer can evidence conformity to the regulator. I do not certify compliance.
