Fullstack engineer · Head of development

I take web products from an empty folder to a domain that resolves.

Next.js on the front, NestJS and PostgreSQL behind it, Terraform and Ansible underneath. Twenty projects live and clickable. Based in Dubai.

  • 7+years of commercial work

Portrait of Ruslan Gaiderbek

One person, the whole way

Most of what I do is one person carrying a project the whole way: Next.js on the front, NestJS and PostgreSQL behind it, Terraform and Ansible underneath, GitLab CI holding it together. I like the parts other people hand off. Servers, DNS, TLS, backups that have actually been restored from rather than just written to.

I lead development at Dragon Farm, run the technical side of Investcare 2000 in the UK, and act as the outsourced IT function for a DFSA-regulated firm in the DIFC.

Soft skills, stated as habits

  1. Evidence before claims

Done means verified: tests green, deploy smoked, backups actually restored. A 17-minute measured restore beats a promise.

  2. End-to-end ownership

One person from DNS to CSS token. Fewer handoffs, fewer places for a project to die.

  3. Documentation that survives me

Architecture logs with numbered decisions, runbooks with rollback paths, README files a client can read.

  4. Regulated-sector discipline

DFSA rulebook work taught me to raise the uncomfortable question early, in writing, before it is found by someone else.

One migration, measured

$546to$140 a month.Seven minutes of downtime. One person.

Dragon Farm moved off managed AWS onto three servers I own, in 2025.

    GG Key Studios

Site for a game studio, plus the Google Play compliance pages its Monkey Escape title needed. Two mini-games written by hand: a DOM whack-a-mole and a canvas runner, without one animation library.

    Mammoth Dev

Studio site built around a 24-step quiz that prices a project deterministically and renders the estimate to PDF in the browser, with a 26-module NestJS backend behind it.

    EverXNode

Single-page sale of NFT node licences with a whitelist relayed to Telegram. The original made the build itself dial Telegram; the rewrite is pollingless, with a documented rate limit.

    CICLO

Custom fullpage engine on Next 16 replacing the library: slides move on translate3d and switch only once their inner content has been scrolled to the edge. Across 141 files the largest is exactly 100 lines.

    R-Trade

A 2022 Gulp site rebuilt line by line with three runtime dependencies in total: next, react and react-dom. Assets went from 52 MB to 2.4 MB, and the legacy icon font became 18 hand-checked SVG components.

Marketing site and lead funnel for a 12-villa complex. Every section reads its copy from a config beside the component, so all four routes survived the backend dying and still render without a single request.
