What I walked into
A game studio needed a site, and its Monkey Escape title needed Google Play compliance pages to stay listed.
Before the 2026 pass the site had five of its seventeen sections and no responsive layout at all.
What I changed, and why
No animation library
Reveals are a single IntersectionObserver per subscriber rather than a library, so the page carries only the motion code it uses.
Counters that always land
Numbers count on requestAnimationFrame with easeOutCubic, and a setTimeout settle fallback puts them on their final value.
A DOM whack-a-mole
A 3×3 crate grid with 30-second rounds, built from plain DOM elements.
A canvas runner
Gravity jump, AABB collision and banana projectiles, drawn on a canvas by hand.
Reduced motion as a kill switch
Reveals and counters stop under prefers-reduced-motion rather than slowing down.
There is not one animation library in the project.
Where it landed
The studio site is live at ggkey.studio with seventeen landing sections, two playable mini-games and the compliance pages Google Play needed.
The 2026 pass added the entire responsive layout and 12 of the 17 sections, and every reveal and counter still stops under prefers-reduced-motion.
